I have had friends who have done this for years, but I could never, ever do this. I just fry with jealousy even *thinking* about Cj with another woman.
Poly isn't for me either. I prefer to spend my free time on things other than maintaining a billion relationships. :-P So long as my poly friends know not to hit on me though (and my mono single friends, and cheating friends too), I've no problem with them. :)
The print edition had the charming bonus of cheesy cartoon illustrations of various relationship configurations - but that's about my only complaint about the piece. *looks at link again* Oh; I guess they showed that in the electronic version as well.
It's always nice to see a thoughtful, respectful treatment, even if they do attribute the overlap between polyfolk and SF fans to the internet (where, um, no one but those two groups ever goes?) rather than shared traditions of questioning what Everyone Knows and looking for new ways to solve old problems.
Not a bad article on poly. (Not particularly original, either, but I suppose that the more slice-of-life articles like this that show up in various places, the better.)
Yeah, I didn't think it said anything new other than perhaps that Boston is a hotbed of polyamory. But putting it in a mainstream paper like this, I think helps broaden minds.
