"Breathe through the mouth, and enjoy the warm, soothing feeling." More like "try not to drown!" My doctor recommended this for my cold symptoms. I'm not sure if it's worse than not breathing, but I suspect it may be.

I didn't watch what he did, I just saw the picture of his face in the related videos.
I know you don't normally do spicy food, but you could try a magic berry and then eat something spicy during the period where the taste doesn't register (it actually comes up sweet). It might clear you out if pseudoephedrine is failing you. Are you taking an expectorant? I find that nondrying pseudoephedrine/gaufenaisin (sp?) to be excellent for tough congestion.
